Beginning in February 2014, one-year grants will be awarded directly to schools to support local innovations through a structured application process. Over the next three years, $2 million will be awarded to each of the District's learning communities.
Applications for Seed Funds are reviewed by a team of Fulton Education Foundation board members. Fulton County Schools is honored to partner with the Fulton Education Foundation on the Seed Fund and is grateful for the Foundation's stewardship of this exciting new process.
The Seed Fund was established in 2013 using $7.8 million appropriated by the Georgia State Legislature to support the Fulton County charter system.
The Seed Fund's mission is to empower Fulton County Schools to create unique solutions, tailored to the needs of their communities, which result in improved outcomes for students.
